Question 1: Does the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) offer scholarships?

Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) offers several scholarship programs for students, including: Talent Scholarships, Youth Union Scholarship, Scholarships sponsored by businesses, Educational Scholarships, and especially the Annual Entrance Scholarship Package.
In 2023, the University developed an Entrance Scholarship policy for candidates who apply and are admitted to the university through various admission methods, with scholarships of 100%, 50%, and 25%. Note that the University does not consider additional points for priority areas or subjects, or double points for English.
To maintain a 100% scholarship, students must achieve a GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. For a 50% scholarship, students must have a GPA of 3.4/4, and for a 25% scholarship, students must have a GPA between 3.5 and 3.3/4. Additionally, students must have a minimum yearly evaluation score of 65%.
Particularly, students majoring in Japanese, Korean, or Chinese Language programs will receive a 40% scholarship for the entire course from sponsoring businesses. For the following programs: Information Technology, E-commerce, Communications Technology, Public Relations, International Relations, Data Science, Psychology, Graphic Design, Hotel Management, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Restaurant and Food Services Management, Multimedia Communications, and Project Management, students will receive a 30% scholarship for the entire course from sponsoring businesses. (This applies to new students who graduated from high school in 2023 and cannot be combined with other scholarships.)

Currently, UEF has its main campus located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, in Binh Thanh District, at the following addresses: 141-145 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 2, Binh Thanh District; and 276 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 17, Binh Thanh District. These modern learning and living facilities are designed for your comfort, including air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-Fi, a gym, a library, an entertainment area, and a study studio, meeting all student learning and training needs.
Additionally, UEF is working on a project to establish a new campus in the southern area of Saigon, which, once completed, will be one of the most modern educational centers.

At UEF, you will enjoy an environment that matches the tuition fee you pay. You will study in a world-class educational environment with English as the main language of instruction, and the university also guarantees to assist with internships and job placement after graduation.
Tuition fees at UEF are collected at the beginning of each semester based on the number of credits you register for. The average tuition fee is about 18-20 million VND per semester (one year has 4 semesters). The fees include 7 levels of English training, equivalent to an IELTS 5.5. Students with an IELTS score of 5.0 are exempt from 3 levels of English, and those with an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher are exempt from 4 levels of English.

At UEF, English is considered a crucial language in teaching and learning to ensure students have the best opportunities for both local and international job markets.
Before officially starting at UEF, the university conducts an English proficiency test. If you meet the entry requirements, you will join the main English program, which consists of 7 levels (AV1 to AV7). If you don’t meet the entry requirements, UEF will offer a 4-6 week preparatory English course free of charge. This program will help you review high school English and familiarize yourself with UEF’s English teaching methods.
In the first three semesters, students will focus on improving their English. After completing the English program, students should achieve an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 5.5, enabling them to study specialized courses in English.
Upon graduation, students must achieve an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher (or its equivalent) within 2 years before graduation.
