UEF cooperate with SCOUT (South Korea) in promoting student’s start up ideas

JANUARY 7, promoting entrepreneurship among students is a key focus for UEF, encouraging the young to implement their knowledge into practical situations and develop holistically . Some of the UEFers have successfully launched their projects through start up competitions. In order to extend the creative environment for UEFers in this field, UEF signed an MOU with Chungcheong SCOUT Consortium, marked an important stepping stone in UEF.

The ceremony was joined by representative of Chungcheong SCOUT Consortium: Mr. Cho Young Cheol - Director of Startup Cooperative Fund - Chungbuk National University; Mr. Kim Hee Sup - Head of Startup Support Department, Suncheonhyang University; M. Yoo Jeonhoon - Deputy Director of Startup Support Center, Korea University, Sejong Branch alongside managers and representatives of universities within the consortium.

On behalf of UEF were Mr. Do Quoc Anh -  Vice Chairman of UEF Board Of Directors; Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - UEF Vice President together with representatives of the Korean Language Department, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Center of Corporate Partnerships and other related departments. 

In his speech, Dr, Nhan Cam Tri emphasized the importance of international education in the context of global integration. He confirmed that UEF is dedicated to expanding its international partnership networks to provide UEFers with opportunities for learning, cultural exchange and diverse experiences. Representatives of Chungcheong SCOUT Consortium also expressed their enthusiasm for collaborating with a dynamic university like UEF and hoped this partnership would lead to groundbreaking achievements in both academics and creative partnership.

The MOU between UEF and Chungcheong SCOUT Consortium focuses on critical areas of partnership, including students and lecturers exchange, curriculum development, organizing thematic seminars and research support. This partnership goes beyond a formal agreement; it reflects a permanent commitment from both parties to enhance educational quality, establish an advanced academic environment, and foster creativity within students.

Especially after the MOU signing, students of both  universities had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas at the Vietnam-Korea startup ideas competition 2025. Four Vietnamese teams and eight Korean teams together showcased their startup projects, exchanged innovative ideas and gained valuable insights from their international peers. This event not only facilitated knowledge sharing but also served as a platform for cultural exchange, helping students build connections, expand their networks, and establish long lasting relationships. 

Chungcheong SCOUT Consortium is a consortium of four South Korean government-funded public and private universities

The event brought new academic opportunities and foster cultural exchange, knowledge sharing and promote sustainable development. With this cooperation, UEF lecturers and students will have further learning opportunities from international environment, expose themselves to advanced educational models, and cultivate their perspectives and skill sets to meet the rising demands of the global labor market.
