Representing UEF in welcoming international guests were Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President of UEF; Mr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Deputy Dean of Faculty International Languages and Culture, Head of Vietnam - Japan Human Resources Development Center; Dr. Cao Do Quyen - Assistant of Faculty of Japanese Language, together with the team of UEF’s lecturers. On behalf of Aichi Nakamura High School were Mr. Kono kenji - Teacher, Ms. Hashimoto Torahiko - Teacher and Ms. Ueno Kaori - Teacher.
In The opening speech, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri gave a brief introduction of UEF’s academic environment, facilities and training programs. He also shared the expectation of strong and sustainable development in cooperation between the two parties.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kono Kenji also introduced Aichi Nakamura High Schools, while sharing wishes of further cooperation and exchange opportunities with UEF in the future.
After the art performances, the students of Faculty of Japanese Language were given the opportunity to introduce the landscape, people and famous spots in HCMC. Locations such as: Independence Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market… in addition to Vietnamese delicacies and the academic environment of UEF was introduced by UEFers, which excites the Japanese students.
On the contrary, The Japanese students also introduced Nagoya and Aichi Nakamura High School. They guided everyone through the specialities of Japanese Cuisine and locations such as: Nagoya City Science Museum, Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology,... were all described excruciatingly.
The meeting and exchange with students of Aichi Nakamura High School - Japan was a meaningful cultural connection bridge. The wonderful experiences and values that the program brought didn’t only stop at the shared knowledge, but also the fusion, understanding of the two cultures.
We believe the beautiful memories acquired from the program will be valuable tools for students on their learning and developing pathway, in the meantime opening a new positive chapter for the cooperative relationship of both parties.
