This achievement highlights Phi's outstanding abilities and commitment, as well as the high level of talent within UEF students. SSEAYP is a prestigious program that fosters cultural exchange, friendship, and cooperation among young people from Southeast Asia and Japan, offering a valuable platform for personal and professional growth.

"What I find most meaningful is the opportunity to interact with friends from ASEAN and Japan in an environment without Wi-Fi or social media. We have been able to enhance direct communication, meet and work with young people who share similar values, and exchange the unique cultures of each country. It's truly wonderful," said Hoang Phi, excited about his fascinating international experiences.
Participating in this activity, Hoàng Phi always carries a spirit of patriotism throughout his journey: "The SSEAYP journey is an opportunity for me to share the beautiful culture of Vietnam with international friends. From traditional food, clothing, to stories about the history and people of Vietnam. I am always enthusiastic about introducing and spreading these values."
Hoang Phi is both learning and spreading the positive values of his country to international friends
To shine in such an international program, Hoang Phi emphasized that his educational foundation at UEF played a significant role: "The learning process at UEF has helped me develop a wide range of international communication skills, language proficiency, and in-depth knowledge of regional and global issues. The field trips and collaborations with international friends over the past four years have made me much more confident. From UEF, I have grown and developed a sense of integration, dynamism, and a strong desire to excel. This is also what I hoped to bring to the youth ship, and it's truly wonderful that I have been able to achieve that goal."
Students affirm that UEF's foundation helps build confidence in integration and development
Despite a busy schedule, Hoang Phi did not forget to express his deep gratitude to his professors at UEF on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, November 20: "I hope that the teachers will always have good health and continue their dedicated work in shaping future generations, helping more students become proactive and confident in stepping out into the world."
Nguyen Hoang Phi's SSEAYP journey is not only a story of personal achievement but also a clear testament to the efforts and educational quality of UEF. With a spirit of integration, creativity, and responsibility, outstanding students like Hoàng Phi continually affirm their value on the global stage, bringing pride to the university and the country.
SSEAYP, launched in 1974, is a collaborative program between the governments of ASEAN countries and Japan, aimed at promoting friendship and mutual understanding among the youth in the region. The program is not just a sea voyage but also a deep cultural exchange opportunity — a place where young people meet, share ideas, and find creative solutions to global issues. Vietnam has participated in SSEAYP since 1995 and has hosted 18 welcoming ceremonies for the ship, 17 of which were held in Ho Chi Minh City, reaffirming its important role in this initiative. |
