Joined the workshop on behalf of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh city were: Mr. tran Hoa Hien - Head of Education Department, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lai - Assistant of Education and Mrs. Nguyen vo Han Diep Uyen - Specialist of Education Department. On behalf of UEF were Mr. Do Quoc Anh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of UEF, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President of UEF, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan - Deputy Dean of the Faculty Of International Languages and Culture, Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language together with the team of lecturers of the Faculty of Chinese Language and UEFers.
At the beginning, Mr. Do Quoc Anh introduced brief information about UEF to the representatives of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh city. He emphasized on international activities, increasing study abroad, meeting and cultural exchange activities for UEFers. For that reason, this effective workshop will better assist UEFers in achieving the goals. Mr. Do Quoc Anh’s speech then followed by Mr. Tran Hoa Hien. He also shared he very much welcomes UEFers coming to Taiwan to study, acquiring knowledge in the future. The Office will assist UEFers at their best, Shared Mr. Tran Hoa Hien.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, representing the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh city, shared many information about Taiwan. UEFers got a deeper understanding about Taiwanese culture, people, and education to advance economic development, especially in semiconductor technology. She also introduced many attractive reasons for choosing Taiwan for international study through cultural similarities as well as Taiwan’s educational rankings. During the workshop, UEFers continued to discover and experience the art of Chinese paper-cutting under the sharing and guidance of Mrs. Nguyen Vo Han Diep Uyen. The speaker gave a brief overview of the history and development of the folk art, then followed by directly guiding the students in cutting the basic shapes.
The workshop ended with many valuable information and exciting experiences required by UEFers. Besides, the information on study abroad in Taiwan together with some of the scholarship policies broadened the gateway of studying, training and knowledge for UEFers in the near future.
