UEFers strengthen bond with international friends through exchange activities with U.S students

DECEMBER 19 AND 20, the UEF International Institute held “Fusion Fest: Cultures Together” with a list of exchange activities with the international students group from the University of Arkansas - USA. Here, students from both parties got to discover many meaningful Vietnamese cultural aspects and strengthen the bond through sport activities.

In assistance with the U.S students group was Mr. Kevin Thacker - Consultant of M&K Tourism and Culture Exchange. Welcoming representative from UEF were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President of UEF, Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal - Director of UEF International Institute, Ms. Tran Phuong Quynh - Deputy Director of UEF International Institute, Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh - Deputy Director UEF International Institute.

After the energetic basketball tournament with UEFers on December 19th, the American students had an exciting culinary culture discovery through the workshop FTHM.Talk: Gourmet Journeys: Coffee, Chocolate, Cuisine & Culture held by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the morning of December 20th.

Here, students from both parties together learned about the connection between drinks with different cultures, while experiencing the brewing procedures and taste the distinct flavors of coffee and chocolate.

In the afternoon, the students participated in “Cultures exchange and games” with students of UK Bachelor’s Program - UoG. From the sharing of IEF, the students got to learn the history of Vietnam, discover unique and exciting features of traditional costumes, cuisine to festivals and scenic sites. Especially,  the students got to experience making lucky money envelopes, a meaningful cultural feature of the Lunar New Year in Vietnam.

Through “Fusion Fest: Cultures Together”, UEFers had the opportunity to better connect with international friends, while training many essential skills. This was also an event for UEFers to spread their confident and active image.
