Faculty of Economics Clubs continued to train on content writing and creating creative media videos

DECEMBER 20, The UEF Faculty of Economics successfully organized the forum “Mediaflow: breakthrough cross-platform content” for members of Clubs under the Faculty. This is the second forum in the series of media skills and event management training with the goal of enhancing creativity capability and content management for students, especially during the context where digital media platforms are furiously developing. 

The activity was held under the assessment of Huynh Tuan Kiet - Director of Communications Department of BIHub. The speaker possessed many experiences in content management and built creative media strategies while participating in projects and clubs both in and outside UEF. Right off the bat, the speaker emphasized on the crucial role of the contect delivered in media campaigns. According to Kiet, an attractive post or video went beyond the tool for message interpretation but also contributes to building a sustainable brand. 

The activity brought various useful knowledge of content creating on digital platforms

The training revolves around the two main topics: content writing skills and creating communication videos. During the first section, the students were supervised on the importance of content in attracting and retaining readers. Tuan Kiet provided popular content creating formulas such as AIDA (Attention - Interest - Desire - Action), PAS (Problem - Agitate - Solution) and SSS (Star - Story - Solution). These formulas don’t just help shape how to write articles but also ignite creativity inspirations, help UEFers easily implement them to create high-quality posts.

Besides writing skills, the training session also focused on discovering the power of video in modern media. The speaker instructed the students to create a professional spreading message video from coming up ideas, script writing to filming, formatting and editing. Popular tools such as Canva, CapCut and After Effects were introduced in detail, to help the students better expose themselves to and implement them. The unique  thing of the session being the practice session of making a 30-second self introduction video. Through this practice, the students not only nurture their techniques but also learned how to tell their story attractively.

The forum “Mediaflow: breakthrough cross-platform content” didn’t just assist the media teams of various clubs under the Economics Faculty with better knowledge and skills but also ignited creativity spirit and passion towards the field of Media. This is a solid foundation for them to be more confident in developing effective communication projects in the future.
