FEBRUARY 28, The Faculty of English Language successfully organized the third workshop named “Mastering Research Methodology: A Guide for Novice Researchers”. The event is part of the series of scientific research instruction programs for students.

At the event, UEFers are not only provided with theoretical knowledge but also offered opportunities to practice, exchange ideas, and clarify their concerns on research techniques. This is an important part in the journey of enhancing UEFer’s scientific research capabilities, helping them better prepare for academic researches and future jobs.

The workshop organized by the Faculty of English Language aimed at equipping essential scientific research knowledge and skills for students

The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Duong My Tham - Deputy Dean of Faculty of English Language, Mr. Hoang Viet Hien - Lecturer of the Faculty and the main speaker of the workshop, Mr. Le Nguyen Lan - Lecturer of the Faculty.

Representative of the Faculty sent letter of thanks to the speaker

In the final segment, the speaker focused on instructing the Sampling Methods in research. According to him, choosing the accountable sampling method is chief to ensure representation and accuracy in research data. In addition, the sampling methods such as random, convenient, and purposive were also clarified.

Aside offering specialized knowledge, Mr. Hien also encourages students to maintain patience and creativity in scientific research. He emphasized that research is a continuous process, which requires students to experiment, discover new research methods.

UEFers directly exchange and clarify their concerns with the speaker

The “Mastering Research Methodology: A Guide for Novice Researchers” workshop ended in a joyous and inspiring atmosphere, fueling strong motivation for UEFers to enroll in high-quality scientific research.

We hope that after participating in the workshop, UEFers have acquired new information and better understand the common scientific research methods to practically apply in their research.
