“Financial - Business coffee” season 3 - Session 3: UEFErs aware of action to sustainable development goals

DECEMBER 19, In the series of “Financial - Business coffee” season 3, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized the Third session with the theme “Sustainable development goals and the role of Vietnamese students”. As speakers, UEFers shared their awareness of action towards sustainable development that the world is aiming for.

“Financial - Business coffee” season three - session three took place with the theme of SDGs

The session witnessed the participation of Dr. Ha Thi Thuy - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting together with the lecturers and a large number of students. 

The three sharing guests were Tran Trung Kien - Junior of Auditing, Nguyen Huu Ngoc Khoi - Sophomore of Auditing and Nguyen Thanh Dat - Sophomore of Auditing. The meeting was hosted by Ms. Tran Thi Anh Nga -  Head of Event Department of Yuanta Vietnam Securities Company, one of the familiar corporate businesses in activities for the UEFers of the UEF Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

With expertise unrelated to topics, Dr. Ha Thi Thuy emphasized on the desire for UEFers to be able to approach and broaden their perspective on SDGs, a globally concerned issue. From there, students gain better understanding on the role of the youth and form a sense of positive action.

During the session, the speakers gave an overview on their understanding of the platform of SDGs and the ability for action towards a specific goal. in the seventeen goals, the environment issue was greatly highlighted when the lives of people are greatly affected. 

Besides, the speakers also “dissect” SDGs-related concepts such as green consumption, ESG index ( Environment, Social and Governance, the three standards to measure factors related to the direction and sustainable development activities of businesses), green finance, green bonds,...

 



The UEFers shared on SDGs goals and emphasized the role of the youth

Another critical issue of great concern in the SDGs mentioned at the session was education. With the impact of education to sustainable development, the speakers shed light on the awareness and responsibility to study well and practice well to contribute and devote. Essentially, the speakers also encourage the young generation of UEF to together creating a sustainable platform for sustainable development. 

 
UEFErs actively inquire and gave opinions on the topic

Season three of :”Financial - Business coffee” will continue to take place with various meaningful topics and expand the scale.
