FTHM.TALK: Create a stepping-stone to become leaders in Hospitality management

DECEMBER 21, The series of FTHM.Talk organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management continues with various dynamic topics, equipping FTHMers with fundamental skills and knowledge for comprehensive development. With that being said, the next talkshow was organized with the theme “The Future Hotelier: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders”, helping the students grasp essential materials to become leaders in the field of Hospitality. 

 
The FTHM.Talk continues with the theme of leadership in the field of Hospitality Management

The talkshow was joined by Mr. Atilla Erda - Co-Founder & CEO Skool Hospitality, Mrs. Nhu Vo - Co-Founder & COO Skool Hospitality, Mrs. Tran Hoang Yen - Brand Culture Manager of Mia Luxury Collection, Dr. Linda - Consultant United Nations. On behalf of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management included Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal - Dean, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Chi - Head of Hospitality Management Department.

With the theme related to roles of leadership and management in Hospitality management, especially hotels, the speakers tremendously inspired the UEFers in affirming the pretty high chances of promotion when they actively study and professionally trained. 

In an environment that requires professionalism and a great amount of skills such as Hospitality Management, each has their own development progress starting from the most humble jobs in different positions. The speakers also clarify the misunderstandings that foreigners usually occupy the positions of leaders and managers in this field.

The skills and standards required to become leaders or managers in the field were excruciatingly provided by the speakers. In Addition, with the development of Hospitality Management in Vietnam, the speaker stressed that career readiness is crucial for the youth.

From the practical stories and information shared by the speakers, it is believed that the UEFers have been greatly motivated to study and strive to grasp future career opportunities.
