Impressive performances coming up at the “UEF elegance” contest for International Women’s Day
Joining the vibrant atmosphere of the 115th International Women’s Day activities, the UEF Trade Union will organize a series of special events to honor the invaluable contributions of women in every area of social life.
Accordingly, with the wish to create a safe showcase where the directors, lecturers and employees can interact, learn, and promote creativity and solidarity, UEF’s Trade Union will organize the “UEF elegance” competition on the upcoming International Women’s Day.
Aiming to honor the beauty and talent of women, as well as the bond between the UEF directors, lecturers and employees will be an ideal playground for UEF members to showcase their dexterity, sophistication, and personal styles through captivating and exciting costume presentation.

UEF always organize exciting showcases on special occasions for members connections
Particularly, the Trade Union teams will participate by designing from two to four costumes and registering one to two couples, encouraging male-female couples to create balance and make an impression. In addition, the outfits must be designed from one of these two special materials: recycling familiar materials from newspapers, plastic bags, bottles, cans,... or environmental-friendly material from leaves, grasses, flowers, trees, etc…
The outfits are not only required to be elegant and beautiful but also reflect the theme of environmental protection and align with the culture of UEF. Additionally, the teams can also showcase their creativity through the preparation of background music, commentary, and explanations about the design during the presentation.

The “UEF elegance” competition will be divided into two rounds. In the first round, each couple will take turns showcase their recycled outfits in the drawn order. Following the first half, the judges will select and announce Top 8 couples for the second round. In this round, the contestants will have another performance of their outfits and present their concepts, elaborate on the creativity, materials used alongside the message delivered through the outfit.
In order for the judges to give comprehensive comments about the concept, performance, in-depth understanding on the meaning and message of each costume, here are the judging rules:
- For Round 1 - Design, presentation of the recycled outfits, the 100-point scale is distributed as follows:
- On point content, theme, rules: 40
- Beautiful, creative design: 30
- Performance (including introduction, overall presentation, performance style,...): 30
- For round 2 - Outfit presentation, the 100-point scale is distributed as follows:
- Design, performance: 50
- Presentation: the presentation content included materials, implementation methods, price, ideas, meanings: 50
