Represented GreenViet was Mr. Do Huu Nhat Quang - Co-Founder, Director of GreenViet Business Development, who greeted and shared meaningful information with students. During their time at the corporation, the students were provided with an overview of GreenViet along with the company’s services and strategies.

The students were deeply equipped with the understanding of the problems of green buildings which are now becoming the revolution in the construction industry. This is suitable for global sustainable development goals. According to Mr. Nhat Quang, there are several green building standards in the world with different assessment criteria, but they are all based on five main factors: energy, sustainable sites, materials and resources, water, and indoor air quality.

Also, the students were presented with solutions for green buildings such as the use of solar panels energy, natural illumination, and public means of transport helping increase the efficient use of energy and reduce toxic emissions to protect the environment. Especially, the energy-efficient and resource-saving structures, rainwater management to prevent erosion, ecosystem protection and restoration, emission reduction, air conditioning, and waste minimization.

Being the factors to evaluate the project from design to completion and operation, green buildings have brought significant and diverse benefits. These advantages are related to 3 main fields: Environment, Economy and Society. All of these were unfolded through the comprehensive overview of the field which was shared with the students.

One of the main reasons making the enterprise pursue this field is Vietnam's rich resources. For example, our country owns the largest hydropower plants in Southeast Asia; nuclear energy has also been considered but is currently deferred. Wind energy is on the rise, and solar farms and rooftop solar installations are also gaining traction.

After being provided with information, international students raised their questions with enthusiasm to figure out the role of enterprises as well as their constructions and contributions. The students gathered the necessary data to supplement their knowledge base for this study trip to Vietnam. On May 11, the students will have a trip to Vung Tau coastal city with many famous destinations such as Christ the King Statue, Buddha Thich Ca Statue - Big Mountain (Nui Lon), White Palace (Bach Dinh), sea bathing, etc. The trip promises many interesting experiences for international students.
