The “Connection Letters” competition attracted the attention of numerous students with many letters sharing profound stories of life, friendships, family and emotions experienced when entering the university environment for the first time. Each letter serves as a sincere confession, the emotions written from their heart, helping to empathize and understand more about the hidden concerns of young people’s souls.
The Talkshow assisted by speaker La Duc Huy provided in-depth perspectives on the emotions of college students, ways to overcome struggles and maintain life balance. The genuine sharings from the speaker helped students find empathy and equipped them with crucial skills to cope with life’s challenges.

One of the emotional letters that caught the attention of the UEFers was from Nguyen Thi Thuy Giang - Freshman of International Relations shared on the word “soulmate” - More than just a title but destiny to meet, a permanent connection based on trust, forgiving and understanding of each other. According to Thuy Giang, it is a relationship where one is ready to listen without judging, where one can comfortably be together without doing anything special.

In addition, many UEFers when stepping into the university environment also felt disappointed when they couldn't immediately adapt to the changes. The speaker further shared on the journey ahead, encouraging everyone to focus on themselves, finding things that make them happy, and seize opportunities for growth. It’s important that one needs to give themselves time to slowly adapt, connect, and gradually find meanings in each experience.
At the end of the competition, the organizers selected the three best letters for honor: “Dear myself at 22!” from Ho Le Hien; “When investors couldn’t wait any longer” by Le Ngoc Nhat Phuong, and “To myself when struggling with relationships” written by Nguyen Thi Thuy Giang. Each letter is an emotional story, reflecting various aspects in the student’s journey of growth. The awards not only recognizes their talent for writing but also honors the sincerity and determination of young people.
