According to the speaker, from January 1, 2025, the 56/2024/QH15 laws officially comes into effect, bringing many notable changes in tax management, especially for organizations running e-commerce platforms, digital platforms with payment functions, and digital economy organizations.
“Before, individuals and business households on platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Grab were obliged for self-declaring and paying taxes. But for the new regulations, these commerce platforms will have to collect and pay the taxes on behalf of the sellers. This is a very important change aimed at ensuring full and more transparent tax collection, while also helping regulatory authorities have accurate data on online business activities”, The inspector added.
