June 30, as a part of cultural exchange and efforts at expanding international collaboration, the Faculty of Languages and International Culture represented UEF to warmly welcome a delegation of students and partners from Dongseo University (South Korea).
The program was aimed at encouraging students from both sides to share, interact, and learn from each other. In addition, representatives of UEF and Dongseo University also had discussions about long-term collaboration opportunities.
Welcome Dongseo University students to UEF
Dongseo University is renowned to be a top-notch university in the southern region of South Korea. With a variety of majors and specializations, particularly in Film, Media, Tourism, and Digital Technology, the university attracts numerous local and international students each year. This meeting and exchange with UEF students will offer new perspectives and further strengthen the bond between the two universities.
The event featured the presence of Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh – Deputy Dean, Faculty of International Language and Culture; Mr. Bui Anh Dung – Lecturer, Faculty of Marketing; along with the Faculty of Marketing and Korean Language students.
Representing Dongseo University was Dr. Kwak Jun Sik – Marketing Lecturer, Faculty of Business Administration, along with 9 students.
The Dongseo University representative shared some information about their visit at UEF
The main purpose of this meeting was to collaborate on a project related to Marketing - promoting Korean Red Ginseng products. This joint activity aimed to help students apply their acquired knowledge in practical settings related to product marketing, creating TV commercials, while enhancing English-Korean language skills, and teamwork abilities.

Each team consists of six members, with three from Dongseo University and three from UEF. They will have about four days to complete all the tasks and produce the final product. The rehearsal and the product premiere are scheduled to take place on July 4.

Besides the student exchange activities, UEF and Dongseo University representatives also had particular meetings. Both universities expressed their desire for long-term collaboration with specially designed programs, ensuring students can participate in short-term or long-term exchanges. These experiences not only broaden their knowledge but provide opportunities to understand the cultures of both Korea and Vietnam.

The student exchange and meeting between UEF and Dongseo University representatives concluded with promising prospects for international collaborations. It is believed that following this meeting, more academic programs and fruitful exchanges will be organized for students.
