UEF and Woosong University strengthen partnership with double-degree programs

FEBRUARY 14, UEF had the honor of welcoming the leadership team from Woosong University, Korea, to discuss the exciting possibilities of the "IDegree Program" – a unique double-degree program opportunity that fosters global learning.

UEF held a working session with Woosong University to discuss the "IDegree Program"

Key representatives from UEF included Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President, and Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal, Director of the UEF International Institute. 

On Woosong University's side, we were joined by Mr. Sang Han Kim, Director of the University (Board Member), Dr. Yoo Taek Lee, Executive Dean of International Schools, and Ms. Thi Kim Cuong Le, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia for the IDegree Program and JCFS. 

During the meeting, the "IDegree Program" initiated by Woosong University was discussed. The Korean representatives expressed their desire to collaborate with UEF to implement the program.

Representatives from both sides discussed the key aspects of the program  

The "IDegree Program" is designed with a curriculum that focuses on STEM education, creative and independent thinking, and soft skills development during the first two years. It offers an online learning experience combined with hybrid education through various offline activities, including corporate projects, discussions, group projects, and startup models.

Students will complete the first two years online via the IDegree system and the final two years on-site at Woosong University or its affiliated institutions.

UEF representatives also stated that further discussions will be held to finalize the collaboration and implement the program in the near future, providing high-quality international learning opportunities for students.  

With the topics discussed, it is believed that UEFers will have access to an international learning environment, gaining global knowledge to support their comprehensive development in the future.
