FEBRUARY 21, With the practical values linked to the field of study and society, the “Mock Trial” organized by the UEF Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Integrity Law Club (ILC) has been expanded to High schools in various provinces. With that being said, a mock trial on the theme of “Preventing school violence”was held at Tan An High School, Long An province.
On behalf of UEF included Mr. Vu Anh Sao - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach - Deputy Director of UEF Center of Consultancy and Student Recruitment, Ms. Nguyen Le Thy Thy - Leader of ILC.
On the local side and Tan An High School were Mr. Dang Thanh Tuyen - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Educational and Training of Long An, Mr. Ho Tan Nhi - Vice President of Tan An High School, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Ai - School Youth Union Secretary, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Mai - Representative of the 10th grade homeroom teachers, Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Ha - Representative of the 11th grade homeroom teachers, Mr. Le Cong Tam - Representative of the 12th grade homeroom teachers.
This mock trial played a dynamic practical educational activity, helping students directly engage with the litigation process, equipping them with situational handling skills, understanding the legal consequences of school violence, and contributing to creating a safe, civilized, and law-respecting learning environment.
With the theme of preventing school violence, UEFers of the Faculty of Law vividly and realistically recreated the reality of school violence, especially the serious legal consequences from these actions. Through the mock trial, UEFers not only demonstrated their specialized knowledge but also skillfully integrated real-life situations of school violence, thereby helping participants, especially students, to better understand the seriousness of the issue.

During the mock trial, UEFers have taken on various roles, from judges, prosecutors, secretaries, lawyers to defendants, victims and witnesses. Each role required them to maximize their acquired legal knowledge, while practicing their basic skills in the trial process.
Through the application of knowledge and skills in practice, UEFers have not only reinforced their legal foundation but also gained a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the parties in a courtroom, thereby cultivating the caution, sense of responsibility, and professional ethics necessary for the future.

The successfully held mock trial not only contributed to creating a lively and beneficial learning environment for the students of Tan An High School but also clearly reflecting the necessity of collaboration between families, schools and the society in addressing school violence. With their relentless effort, UEFers will gain more valuable practical lessons, continuing to contribute to the cause of justice and working together to build a fair and civilized society.
