UEF Representatives attended the HCMC Innovation and Start-up Week

December 17, The HCMC Innovation and Start-up Week - WHISE 2024 with the theme “Innovation and Start-up for sustainable development” officially opened. This is the year’s grandest event on the field of Creative Innovation, Technology Science and Start-up of Ho Chi Minh city, including the streak of 20 events throughout December.

Represented UEF participating in the event including the Board of leaders of UEF Center of Project Design Education were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Director, Ms. Ha Le Thu Hoai - Deputy Director together with the group of UEFers who have projects.

In her opening speech, Mrs. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Deputy Chairperson of The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said the city’s startup ecosystem continues to thrive in recent years, affirming the attractiveness of the creative and startup ecosystem, which is constantly nurturing breakthrough ideas, encouraging creative businesses to develop and reaches international level.

In particular, “Innovation and Startup exhibition” took place from December 17 till December 18 was the main highlight in the series of events of Ho Chi Minh city’s startup ecosystem: Exhibition of products/services by Innovative start-ups from Universities, Startup support organizations, STEM companies, Exhibition of technological products by banks, businesses.

The exhibition includes 150 stalls, 10 of which belong to the international partners. Represented by UEF in the exhibition was the startup group of “EZD - Trainees connection and skills development platform” by the winning students of the Young Innovator 2024 competition.

Here, EZD gained many interests and discussions about the project with the leaders of The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh city, Ministries, Branches, Fields, Businesses and Investment Funds at WHISE 2024. The young startups Excitedly present the project and perceive questions, positive feedback from the experts.

The participation and connection with businesses, experts in the field of innovation, technology science played a firm base which helped UEFers and lecturers expand their perspective, explore many breakthrough ideas. From there, we can learn and improve UEF’s quality of the project design training program as well as the creative research process.
