JUNE 23 – The Gloucestershire Bachelor program’s students majoring in International Hospitality and Tourism Management had a field trip at Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel.
This field trip was a hands-on learning activity to bring students closer to businesses. The experience gained at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, a renowned international corporation, helped students update more helpful information and knowledge, and enabled them to grasp the recruitment criteria in today’s service sector.

Students were participating in the field trip under the guidance of Mr. Hoang Tran Quang Duong – Academic Services Manager, UEF International Institute, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Chi – Faculty member, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and Mr. Pham Tan Thanh – Head of Administration, Talent and Culture in charge of Recruitment.
UEFers were offered an overview of the Accor Group and Sofitel Saigon Plaza, such as the history of development, culture, hotel segments in Vietnam, values, and brand identity, to name a few, and incredibly fantastic explanations of Slogan Live the French way.

Students were allowed to tour different areas of the hotel, including meeting rooms, event rooms, business organization charts, fitness services, House of Barbaard, airport shuttle services, restaurant area, pastry area, Club Millésime, etc.
The Sofitel Saigon Hotel Plaza has provided students with fresh, unique, and luxurious experiences via its architecture, which combines classic and contemporary French components with Vietnamese details.
UEFers paid a visit to the hotel core areas
The Tourism and Hospitality Management students had a chance to approach professional and international working environments via the valuable sharing of practitioners in this field, thereby helping them stay on top of recruitment criteria to prepare the ground for their future careers.
