Before the interview, Mr. Andrew Lee shared information about Le Cordon Bleu Culinary and Hospitality School and the content of the program. This scholarship will apply to the cooking or baking course, and students will be awarded a certificate upon completion. The scholarships are worth more than NZD14,000 (approximately 200 million VND) and cover a 10-week course starting in October 2024.
"This is Le Cordon Bleu’s first scholarship application, with no prior precedent. UEF students majoring in restaurant and culinary arts are eligible to win this scholarship and travel to New Zealand for a 10-week study period. Hopefully, the selected students can successfully complete the program which serves as the foundation for the scholarship to be maintained for future UEF Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management students," Mr. Andrew Lee said.

Equipped with knowledge from specialized subjects, practice sessions in the kitchen, and experience competing in major competitions, I hope to quickly adapt to the professional international environment at Le Cordon Bleu,", Quynh Huong shared her feelings after being awarded the scholarship. Mr. Nguyen Viet Thuy - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management stated: "This is an opportunity for students to experience the international environment, exchange with friends from other countries, and pursue professional programs. As Le Cordon Bleu is one of the world's leading culinary and hospitality schools, students will gain valuable experience while studying here. They also learn the latest professional techniques from Michelin-starred chefs. This is the first scholarship applied by Le Cordon Bleu and expected to be maintained for UEF students."

Founded in 1895 in France, Le Cordon Bleu has been in operation for more than 125 years, becoming the world's oldest school offering a wide range of fields including culinary, business, restaurant, and hotel management. It is ranked among the top 10 culinary schools globally for its exceptional quality. Currently, it has institutions in more than 20 countries around the world, specializing in training chefs and culinary experts.
With this scholarship, hopefully, Quynh Huong can hone her skills, gain more experience, and become proficient in her expertise after completing the course. It is believed that students will gain significant experience in a professional international environment. Not only Quynh Huong but also all UEF students will always be provided with the opportunity to "go abroad" to study and develop comprehensively. This is one of the University’s goals in aiming to build a model of global citizenship for students.
