Students’ Science Research is an annual academic activity of the Faculty of International Relations. Topic registration usually starts in September - October every year and always attracts the attention of IR students. After a year of hard working, on July 28, 2022, the Faculty of International Relations - UEF organized a STUDENTS' SCIENCE RESEARCH WORKSHOP OF FIR, academic year 2021-2022 with the following purposes:
- Acceptance student’s research results after more than 9 months of researching
- Improving critical thinking skill and approach international relations issues from a scientific perspective
- Exchanging advantages and disadvantages in the research process.
- Building up the spirit of scientific research for students
The acceptance meeting was held at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Room A.13-05, University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City (campus 141 – 145 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 15). , Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of Faculty members, lecturers, 06 research groups and students registered to attend the Workshop.

Morning session: 8:30am-11:30am
Topic 1: Research on influencing factors and optimal methods to improve self-study ability of UEF students.
Topic 2: Vietnam's defense diplomacy from 2009 to present.
Topic 3: The concept of "Strategic Culture" and the East Sea dispute from the perspective of Vietnam.
Afternoon session: 13:30-16:30
Topic 1: America's war on terror in Afghanistan approaches from the period of President George W. Bush (2001 - 2009)
Theme 2: Pakistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan in the war in Afghanistan (2001–2021) from the perspective of defensive realism.
Topic 3: How the Democratic Government of Afghanistan operates under President Obama (2009-2017)
TOTAL TIME FOR ALL TOPICS up to 60 minutes, incl.
1. Presentation: up to 15 minutes
2. Asking and answering questions: 15-30 minutes
3. Listening to critical comments, from the teachers and the President of the Council to summarize-maximum 15 minutes.
At the acceptance meeting, the members of the research team presented an overview of the research method, content and results of the topic. After listening to the research group's presentation, the teachers in the council commented, gave suggestions, shared with you the content, theoretical framework, approach as well as suggested development deeper directions of the topic for research.
Although the topics still have many points to improve and supplement, the Acceptance Council highly appreciated the efforts of the students in scientific research.
Many useful and practical contributions have been made by the Council to help the research team have a basis to improve the topic better, contributing to helping the students continue to develop their scientific research skills.
