Dean of UEF Faculty of International Relations attended and spoke at ITEC DAY 2021

To celebrate the Vietnam - India partnership within the framework of the India Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to share experiences and memorable memories while studying in India of ITEC Scholarship Alumni by online form at 15:00, Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

The event had the participation of Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen - Dean, Faculty of International Relations, UEF, Representative of Gia Lai Department of Foreign Affairs, Representative of Can Tho City Union of Friendship Organizations and many ITEC alumni.

 

Opening the event was a speech by Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. In his speech, the Consul General highlighted Vietnam's strengths in information technology and training cooperation and emphasized the remarkable progress in India-Vietnam relations in the fields of health care, medicine and diplomacy.


 

Especially, right after the speech of the Consul General, the Faculty of International Relations of UEF was honored to have the participation and speech of Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen, Dean, Faculty of International Relations. Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen is an alumnus of ITEC in the Course "Leadership 4.0: Management and Governance in the Emerging World of disruption" at Kozhikode Academy of Personnel Management.

 

Starting the speech, Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen has expressed respect to the people and nature of India because this place is the cradle of human civilization, religious diversity, and the land of myths. This was followed by sharing her memorable experiences and memories while attending the course in India. There are four main topics discussed in the course: authenticity, connectivity, productivity, and possibility to the role of a leader. In addition, the learning method that combines exchange and discussion with field visits has contributed to providing her as well as other students with more useful knowledge in many aspects such as public policy, climate change, operational strategies, on the other hand practical activities create cohesion among the members of the course. Since then, Ms. Huyen has summarized what she has learned in the course about how to think like a leader, the spirit of curiosity, and always learn at any time, anywhere. Concluding his speech, Dr. Tran Thanh Huyen shared interesting experiences about the people, food and culture of India while studying in this country.

 





Finally, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations sincerely thanked the Government of India in general for developing such a useful and practical course, as well as the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City in particular when he invited the Faculty of International Relations.
