Finance-Commerce faculty’s lecturers managed to report scientific research topic

Scientific research is an inevitable activity of the teaching-learning process for lecturers and students. The scientific researches reveal the study, curiosity and creativity of UEF’s members.
After 6 months of hard study and investigation, on 26/2 morning, the acceptance session for the university-level scientific research topic: “Foreign direct investment: credit risk and profitability of the Vietnamese commercial bank system” done by MA. Tang My Sang – Deputy Head of the UEF’s Finance – Trade faculty has been successful.

In her report, the author has introduced arguments and data in combination with her own viewpoints and judgments. The author said: “The research was done with an aim to evaluate the relationship between FDI, credit risk and profitability of the Vietnam commercial bank system, in order to be proactive in reacting to worst scenarios.
From that, we make appropriate recommendations to help commercial banks improve their resilience when encountering shocks related to this important capital source”.
Based on previously done researches, practical operations situations of Vietnam commercial banks and the information condition, MA. Tang My Sang has proposed research models related to the research topic.

Board members review and evaluate the research topic
Following the presentation of the author lead, the Review Borad has given their comments and contributions to improve the research. In general, the author has completed her job well, the data come from reliable sources. This research can be used as teaching materials in the university. However, the author should include in her presentation the credit risk measurement criteria to make it easier for other people to recognize. Besides, when bringing theory into the research there is a need for refining and strengthening the discussion to clarify the matters.

Congratulations to the Finance – Trade faculty to have one more scientific research topic being successfully reported
The serious time investment and conducting the research with strict procedures have helped MA. Tang My Sang to achieve a successful university-level scientific research report. This acceptance ceremony also promises to open a “booming” year of scientific research projects of UEF’s lecturers and students.
