Following the success of the first Science and Technology Conference (20/9/2019), the UEF’s IT faculty has continued to organize the second Science and Technology Conference 2020 with the topic: “Some selected issues on Information Technology and its applications” in the morning of 24/6. The conference aims to create a forum for academic exchange and to help students have more perspectives to approach research results from the UEF’s lecturers. The conference saw the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Cao Cuong – Vice President, Head of Science and Technology department, MA. Nguyen Pham Hai Ha – Deputy Head of Science and Technology department, Dr. Nguyen Ha Giang – Dean of IT faculty, and lecturers of the IT faculty.

Representative of the UEF’s Board of Directors gave flowers and thanked the IT faculty
The Conference has announced the yearbook with 12 research topics and used the QR codes to introduce all the research results of these 12 topics to the students. The research authors are all lecturers of the IT faculty and possess many impressive previous research works.
During the conference, the Dean of the IT faculty has selected 4 typical topics that are best match the students’ current needs to report and discuss:
Project 1: “Application of adaptive genetic algorithms to improve communication performance for the 5th generation mobile network” by Dr. Huynh De Thu
Project 2: “Management system of scientific and technological activities” by Mr. Hoang Van Hieu
Project 3: “Introduction to the Windows Azure platform” by MSc. Nguyen Minh Tuan
Project 4: “Utilizing 4-p model in e-commerce: an approach for low performance products” by MSc. Nguyễn Quang Minh

The authors present the content of the research topic in the conference
The topics are presented in detail by the authors and have provided much useful information to the students. In addition to providing information and research results, the conference also aims to develop and expand works, creating a premise for scientific research competitions at city levels and ministerial levels.

The exciting atmosphere on the spirit of openness between students and lecturers.
The IT faculty has informed to organize periodic seminars so that UEF students are constantly updated with the latest knowledge in the IT field today. Let’s look forward to the upcoming scientific seminars with practical topics of the IT faculty.
