ACBSP representative visits and conducts initial assessments related to accreditation standards

JANUARY 10-11, UEF welcomed Dr. Kevin Cooney, representative of the ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) – USA to conduct initial assessments. OCTOBER 18, 2022, UEF officially became a member of ACBSP, which is the biggest global business program accreditation organization, recognized by CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation - Higher Education Accreditation Council), USA. At the opening ceremony on January 10, UEF representatives welcoming Dr. Kevin Cooney were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang - President, Board of Presidents; Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President, Board of Presidents, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Board of Presidents, and Director, UEF International Institute, Dr. Ngo Minh Hai - Vice President, Board of Presidents, Dr. Ly Thien Trang - Director, Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Dr. Le Vu Huong Giang - Director, Center of Quality Assurance. Representatives of UEF Board of Directors and Board of Presidents welcomed Dr. Kevin Cooney At the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam welcomed Dr. Kevin Cooney and affirmed that educational quality has always been UEF's goal throughout its formation and development. The approach and implementation of the training program evaluation based on the ACBSP international standard is a crucial step. .

The first working session of Dr. Kevin Cooney at UEF During the working session with the Center of Quality Assurance, after some recommendations, Dr. Ly Thien Trang emphasized the significance of the accreditation activities based on ACBSP standards at UEF. The university commits to complying with the guidance and believes this is an opportunity to look back on the actual results, strongly improve quality, and participate in the international arena. Accreditation is still a crucial process that helps training institutions raise awareness and gradually improve quality to serve learners and society better.
Dr. Ly Thien Trang emphasized the significance of the accreditation activities according to ACBSP standards During the initial assessment, Dr. Kevin Cooney had direct working sessions with each specialized group to discuss renovated parts and development path for 11 undergraduate programs (Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, International Business, Human Resource Management, Electronic Commerce, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Commercial Business, Restaurant and Culinary Management) and the Master of Business Administration program to progress towards international standards through meeting ACBSP standards.
Dr. Kevin Cooney had direct working sessions with each specialized group The content of the in-depth working sessions provided useful information for the group members, helping them to better see that UEF achievements are gradually reaching the ACBSP standards. The questions, sharing, and advice from the representative of the ACBSP organization have guided the specialized team on the parts that need to be renovated, and experiences from many international schools have been on their journey to quality.
