UEF organized The 2023-2024 Quality Assurance Review Conference

On the afternoon of September 20, 2024, UEF’s Department of Quality Assurance held The 2023-2024 Quality Assurance Review Conference to reflect on achievements, assess strengths and areas for improvement, and enhance the university’s quality assurance efforts. Faculty member also shared recommendations to further refine and elevate these initiatives in the upcoming academic year.
Mr. Do Quoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice President; Dr. Ngo Minh Hai, Vice President; Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation; along with representatives of leadership and quality assurance personnel from various departments attended the conference.

and set new directions and objectives for the upcoming academic year.

In opening remarks, Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, emphasized that this was the first time the conference had been held to review UEF’s quality assurance accomplishments, assessing strengths and areas for improvement, and recognizing outstanding contributions. The event also served as an opportunity to acknowledge and commend individuals and teams who had made significant contributions to quality assurance efforts.

delivered the opening remarks.

At the conference, Dr. Le Vu Huong Giang, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance, provided a comprehensive review of the 2023-2024 quality assurance activities and outlined strategic orientations for 2024-2025.

One of UEF’s notable achievements in the past academic year was obtaining Cycle 2 accreditation (2019-2023) for institutional quality assurance from the Ministry of Education and Training, as certified by the Center for Educational Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEA-HCM) under the ministry’s new standards. Additionally, UEF once again earned a 4-star QS Stars international certification, with five key criteria achieving the highest 5-star rating: Teaching; Facilities; Employability; Good Governance; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

presented a summary of the 2023-2024 quality assurance activities.

The conference also provided an opportunity for the university’s leadership and the quality assurance team to listen to faculty members insights and recommendations for further improvements.

Key suggestions from faculty members included Enhancing training and professional development on quality assurance for faculty; Addressing challenges in alumni surveys and proposing strategies to increase participation; Establishing a data processing and peer review team to support quality assurance initiatives.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to quality assurance, UEF honored both departments and individuals. Awarded departments included the Faculty of Marketing, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, and the University Office. Honored individuals included Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tiên, Deputy Head, Faculty of Business Administration; Ms. Ly Thi Kim Vy, Chief Secretary, Faculty of Information Technology; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nhan, Secretary, Faculty of English; Ms. Bui Thi Trang Nhung, Staff, Center for Corporate Partnerships.

The university recognized departments and individuals for their excellence in quality assurance.

Building on the conference’s key takeaways and strategic directions for the new academic year, UEF remains committed to collective efforts in achieving its goals, enhancing quality, and strengthening its academic excellence.
