BEAUTIFUL STORIES ARE SPREADING POWERFULLY IN UEF STUDENTS COMMUNITY

“ UEF students - Beautiful stories “ competition organized by Center of Service Learning (CSL) in association with with Communist Youth Union of University of Economics - Finance HCM city (UEF) are spreading powerfully, contribute to transmit the message about the beautiful of humanism in volunteer activities as well as the spirit to learn and serve the community of the young today.
This is one among many meaningful activities in the 2019 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign of UEFers. The raw, contagious feelings of students when they experience and devote themselves to activities such as the Service-Learning project, annual Green summer campaign or to programs like “Sharing winter“, “Sunlight at the frontiers“,... has been reproduced through every word and vivid image.

Thanh Phuong, UEF sophomore, had some passionate sharing: “To be honest, I volunteer not to be recognized. However, being recognized I still feel happy! Have you ever been so happy to the point of tearing up? For me, yes, I burst into tears when I received the thanks, the warm affection and the love of those I had helped. I was really emotional with all the hugs, the hand shakes and the blessings of local people where I helped, or the children’s drawings about growing up being like their volunteer brothers and sisters, who I had taught, also the letters full of their love.”
3rd year student - Thu Thao, also has a very personal perspective about volunteer work:”It’s not hard for you to find happiness and bring it to others, it’s just that you don’t catch the opportunity at all. All these beautiful memories will follow me and will be my motivation to pursue another journey so then I will gain more happiness. This is the miracle that happens every time to those who really love: the more we give, the more we possess. The youngster must travel, in order to learn, to experience and to mature. I used to hear a saying:” Want it much, feel so closely, but how distant it seems. Youth is like clouds.” Youth will pass very fast, don’t let yourself feel regretful when you look back! “
Minh Tuan also had a very deep thought to himself when participating in volunteer work: “This trip helped me change a lot, I became more mature and thoughtful especially with the precious experiences of event organizing. To me, it’s the priceless experience that I am lucky to have”. Besides, Van Minh has some words given to the younger generation: “ To the first year students: build a plan for your college lifetime to make the most out of it.”

Participate in the competition, you will also have a chance to receive a scholarship for summer exchange semester at Germany
With the powerful strong response from the first day launch, the competition looks promising to have more relatable sharing and memorable memories from UEF students.
This is the chance for you to speak up about your thoughts, thereby contributing to spread beautiful stories, make momentum for student to actively participate in activities for the community in the future
