Over the past school years, the UEF Center of Service-learning, through its support and connection between education and community service, has contributed to the school’s mission of educating the whole person, aiming at international standards and sustainable development. Here, students are equipped with practical and dynamic working skills, awareness of civic responsibility to the local and an international vision of current socio-economic issues.
With the desire to share about the Service-Learning model being applied at UEF, as well as paving the way for future international cooperation projects, on the afternoon of January 11th, the Center of Service-learning organized
a seminar to share Service-Learning activities to 44 universities in Indonesia and Malaysia during the visit and MOU signing of this group of schools at UEF.
The program contributes to strengthening the relationship between UEF and partner schools.
The positive impacts that Service-Learning activities have brought to students were discussed.
Attending the program was Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice Principal of the University, MSc. Tran Thi My Phuong - Director of the UEF Center of Service-learning, Ms. Huynh Kim Phung - Coordinator of the UEF Center of Service-learning, MSc. Over the years, the Center of Service-learning has implemented 5 projects: Heart to Hand, Children's Smile, Sketchnote for Good, Students for Inclusion and the Communication for Development team. With the goal of building values for the community, the Center has created many valuable and useful playgrounds not only for UEFers but also for bringing positive and meaningful things to society.
Listening to the sharing about the project, development direction, goals, and operation of Service-Learning, foreign lecturers expressed their interest in and intention to cooperate.
Representatives of the schools exchange ideas about the goals and operation of the center of Service-Learning activity.
UEF is gradually affirming its goal of internationalization, training global citizens, and providing quality programs for students. Through this meeting, universities from Indonesia and Malaysia will have a more comprehensive view of UEF, contributing to tightening the educational cooperation link between the three countries.
