Như An - Enthusiasm to "Never regret looking back"

In the beautiful young years, each of us has dreams, goals, goals to pursue. And at the UEF Community Connection Center (TT. KNC) has such young people, too. Especially for Nguyen Nhu An - a 3rd year Marketing student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, one of the members of the Heart to Hand project, you always put your enthusiasm and enthusiasm into community projects, challenging yourself through each stage accompanying the Center.


Reason for joining and An's feelings about the starting point of the journey
As An chooses TT. KNC is a place to develop yourself from one thing you feel very impressed with this place is "To do what you like". With An, the journey with the Center gives you a lot of experiences. It can be said that here you are free to be yourself, to try in different roles through projects, just like the saying "Liking what you do - Doing what you like".

Starting the project as a member of the Communications Department, the first thing An got in this place was close relationships. From strangers, with the same desire to devote themselves to community activities, they have now accompanied each other. As An nostalgically confided, "Everyone considers each other as family, everything has each other, learns together, plays together, experiences together, grows together". It can be said that thanks to such friends, An's journey becomes more brilliant and meaningful. After a period of trying and accompanying the team members. Nhu An was recommended by the sisters in the Coordinating Committee to the position of Head of the Teaching Committee. For such a completely new and challenging role, An had a lot of difficulties. You have the confusion in the early days of dividing the work and confusion in teaching the children at the shelter, but after all those difficulties, now, Nhu An has done her job well, bringing everything into the framework. The effort to hone the right skills through each position has helped you develop who you are today.


From the unexpected change through that exciting journey, Nhu An is more resilient and brings more enthusiasm into each activity, each job in charge. You are loved by a member of the project, recognized as a "Flame of Enthusiasm" during the period when the team encounters difficulties and many things do not go well. Referring to that time, Nhu An also shared that "If I choose to stop participating at that time, I am afraid that I will regret not daring to do such things in the future." Keeping the fire of enthusiasm and the fear of regret when not doing his best, Nhu An has instilled more motivation in the team members, energizing the project to overcome this period that seems to lose the belief of trying.


Having traveled through many positions, faced with many situations and project work, Nhu An felt that he learned a very important skill in the role of head of the teaching department - the skill of understanding. "It's very difficult to understand partners and how to engage them with volunteers. It is not really a challenge but something that helps me try harder every day" - An shared about the process of learning empathy skills. There are many difficult things, but Heart to Hand's positive energy friend always tells herself that facing those things is also an opportunity for you to practice endurance. Keeping that spirit, you enthusiastically continue the journey ahead, accepting challenges with the mentality "I am willing to accept challenges, I want to experience it, I want to take action".
