Recently, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned into practice through the process of designing and implementing community projects. copper. Not only do they have a compassionate heart and desire to help people, many GenZ people also work hard to learn and explore so that their community projects operate scientifically and effectively. Let's learn about the journey of Trinh Hong Thanh, a typical student of the community project at UEF.
Hello! First, can you introduce a little bit about yourself?
Hello everyone, I am Trinh Hong Thanh, a 3rd year student majoring in Public Relations. I remember the days when I still "got my feet wet" and joined the Community Connection Center (TT.KNCĐ), and now I am the Head of the Communications Committee of the Heart to Hand (HTH) project of the Center.

Can you tell us why you chose the HTH project to accompany you during your university years?
Simply, Thanh is a person who loves volunteering and social activities. Here all activities are aimed at the community, to help the less fortunate and foster love. Through these activities, Thanh has the opportunity to learn and interact with students from many different majors, thereby feeling the collective spirit. No matter where they come from, everyone is active and enthusiastic with the same goal when participating in volunteer activities.
After more than a year of working with HTH, Hong Thanh has participated in many events connecting with shelters. Can you name a few typical events?
HTH will organize annual events for children: Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas, International Children's Day or an inspirational session for high school children, drawing competition for elementary school children. Besides, the project also raises funds from sales, through social networks to mobilize many kind hearts to bring joy to the children at the Shelter. Every event is fun. After the events, it seemed that the space was colored by the innocent smiles and optimistic thoughts of the children. We were also lit up with the fire of hope by the nuns and benefactors who did not hesitate to work hard to bring love to the children and support us during the project implementation process. We are more mature, sympathetic and understanding with everyone.
For Hong Thanh, what milestone makes you feel proud of yourself during your activities at the Center?
To me, each activity has its own meaning, but the most memorable is probably the Project Day event held recently. A Community Festival - a place for connection and exchange between UEF students. Here, for the first time, I was an MC leading a program with an open space and learned a lot of experience after taking on a new role.

How does Thanh ensure time and complete all set goals when there are so many things that need to be prioritized?
To keep pace with the tireless energy of the Center's members, I myself practice observation skills every day. Because I believe that "Every person I have the opportunity to come into contact with is extremely special with advantages worth learning." Besides, time management skills are also extremely important. Thanh herself realized that her siblings and friends can arrange their time scientifically and reasonably, ensuring that they "win" scholarships regularly, work hard and not miss any activities of the Center. heart. Everyone always shares, supports and encourages each other in all aspects of life. This is the source of inspiration that helps me always be full of love and try to contribute to the project.
Coming to the present time, what lesson have you learned? Let's summarize it with an adjective.
“Being proactive” is what I learned the most while participating in the Center. To organize a thorough activity or come up with an idea for a communication article, we need to go through many stages such as: planning, approving plans, budgeting, managing human resources, etc. Dynamics create a comprehensive perspective, which is the "golden key" for me to handle work neatly.
HTH operates with the mission of connecting volunteers with community partners, implementing many tutoring activities for children. So how does Hong Thanh maintain her enthusiasm for community work?
The first is to determine what you want to achieve through your learning journey through community service. Second, learn about the needs of community partners to find solutions that support and meet their needs. This creates a balance between both sides. And finally, reward yourself when you complete a task well, giving yourself the strength to continue with enthusiasm and passion.

Do you have any advice for other students interested in participating in the Service-Learning Center?
Let's "dare to try". For me, entering the journey of serving the community, trust and empathy are very important, so I hope that any young people who really like it, don't hesitate and sign up to participate. Put trust in each other and learn and experience a lot together.

Through implementing community projects, students not only create humanistic values that contribute to society but also learn, experience and become more mature. From the words shared and confided with Hong Thanh, we can see that this is a student who constantly strives and strives to continue his mission. Wishing you more and more success on your upcoming journey and hope that you will forever keep the fire of enthusiasm within you, with the HTH project in particular and TT.KNCĐ in general reaching further.
