The Center of American Law is a unit within the Faculty of Law, and its functions encompass research, legal consultation, teaching support, and engagement in educational programs related to U.S. law. It also fosters collaborative partnerships with U.S. universities that offer legal education.
Responsibilities
Advising the leadership of the Faculty of Law in setting the direction for the development of educational programs, research related to U.S. law, and partnerships with U.S. universities offering legal education.
Planning and executing the Center's functions and responsibilities.
Studying U.S. legal regulations, operational mechanisms, and the application of U.S. law; exploring global and regional institutions influenced by U.S. law; and comparing Vietnamese and U.S. legal systems.
Seeking, developing, and fostering collaborative partnerships with U.S. universities that offer legal education to facilitate faculty and student exchanges, collaborate on research with scholars, and invite experts to UEF for knowledge sharing.
Acting as an intermediary to collaborate with relevant units to introduce experts, researchers, and practitioners to U.S. partners and vice versa.
Coordinating with relevant units to host forums, exchanges, and academic discussions regarding the legal systems of the United States and Vietnam.
Supporting and advising Faculty of Law members on specific teaching methods to create the distinctive aspects of legal education at UEF.
Introducing and disseminating educational resources on U.S. law for faculty members to support their teaching and research.
Introducing faculty members who participate in undergraduate and postgraduate law education activities.
Organizing and carrying out risk management activities within the unit in accordance with the university's regulations.
Submitting regular and ad hoc reports as instructed by the Board of Directors, the Board of Management, and the leadership of the Faculty of Law.
Conducting quality assurance, accreditation and self-assessment at the institutional and program level according to the university's plan.
Additional duties as delegated by the Board of Trustees, the Board of Management, and the leadership of the Faculty of Law.
