In the current context, the rapid development of the Logistics industry has led to certain changes in the labor market. Alongside the opportunities to build and expand their influence, businesses also need to develop appropriate strategies to address risks, especially in legal matters.
To help students gain a comprehensive understanding of this promising field of study, on August 3rd, the US Law Center (USLC) at the UEF Faculty of Law collaborated with the UEF Integrity Law Club (ILC) to organize a talkshow titled "Logistics talkshow at a crossroads: Emerging trends and regulatory challenges in the 2024 outlook".
The program was conducted online but still maintained a high level of professionalism and two-way interaction between the speakers, lecturers, and students. Through the presentations of highly specialized content, UEFers were introduced to the latest technological trends being implemented by Logistics companies, as well as the legal challenges facing this industry. This not only enriched the students' knowledge but also helped them prepare thoroughly before entering the job market in the near future.
The talk show helped UEF students understand the importance of legal issues in the field of Logistics.
The speakers for the talk show include Mr. Danny Duy Võ - Global Cases Attorney, Ms. Ana J. Vaca - Fellow Researcher at NYU, and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Cẩm Hằng - CEO of Highland BP. It is noted that all of these individuals are leading legal experts in the field of Global Logistics and Supply Chain from the United States.
On behalf of UEF, accompanying the students are the leaders of the Faculty of Law, along with Mr. Chu Anh Tài - President of the UEF Law Club.
The program was conducted online and received enthusiastic participation from UEF students.
At the talk show, the students, along with the speakers, delved into emerging trends in the Logistics industry in the new era through two key topics: "New Rules and Regulations for Supply Chain Management" and "Practical Applications of DAP." Drawing from their extensive experience, the speakers transformed highly specialized knowledge into case studies and practical examples relevant to daily life, making it easier for UEF students to grasp the information.
According to the speakers, the continuous development and transformation of society today have resulted in the establishment of various legal regulations within the field of Logistics. In order to assert their position, companies must not only continuously innovate their policies to deliver the highest quality experiences to consumers but also focus on ESG metrics. ESG, which stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance, is a set of three standards used to evaluate and measure the sustainability factors and the impact of a business on the surrounding community. Organizations can initiate the promotion of ESG by implementing policies aimed at reducing harmful emissions into the environment and creating additional job opportunities for workers.
The speakers provided valuable information about the current state of the Logistics industry in the modern era.
The talkshow has provided significant value to the students of UEF. The information conveyed in the talkshow not only enhances the students' knowledge of the Logistics sector but also allows them to understand the relevant legal issues involved, thus gaining a more comprehensive and profound perspective on this profession.
