MOU Signing Ceremony: HCMC TESOL, Horizon TESOL, and UEF International Institute

DECEMBER 21, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ho Chi Minh TESOL Association (TESOL - HCMC), Horizon TESOL Company Limited, and UEF International Institute took place. The event was attended by Dr. Do Nguyen Huu Loc, President of TESOL-HCMC, Vice President of UEF, and Director of Gloucestershire Vietnam, along with numerous distinguished guests. On behalf of UEF International Institute, Mr. Nguyen Ba Anh, Deputy Director of UEF International Institute and Deputy Director of Gloucestershire Vietnam, was the signatory, accompanied by faculty lecturers. This event marks a significant step forward, reflecting the shared commitment to improving the quality of English language education and broadening opportunities for learning, research, and career development for both educators and students in Ho Chi Minh City and at UEF.

The partnership focuses on fostering close ties among the parties involved to promote comprehensive advancements in English language education. Key objectives include:

- Organizing specialized workshops, academic events, and research activities in conjunction with partners to create a vibrant academic environment and stay updated on the latest teaching trends.

- Developing intensive job shadowing programs to offer UEF English majors valuable hands - on teaching experience. 

- Awarding scholarships and providing access to international TESOL training programs to enhance professional skills and teaching expertise for lecturers, students, and trainees.

- Supporting research projects and academic publishing to align students with international academic standards.

The collaboration offers numerous practical advantages for UEFers, particularly those enrolled in the UEF International Institute:
- Opportunities for professional job shadowing at top-tier English language centers, allowing students to gain practical skills and real-world experience.
- Career orientation through networking events connecting students with businesses, facilitating smoother integration into the workforce.
