UEF Welcomes NTCUST President for Collaboration and MOU Signing

NOVEMBER 14, UEF welcomed the President and leadership delegation of National Taichung University of Science and Technology (NTCUST) for a meeting and signing of an MOU. This official partnership marks a significant step forward, opening numerous opportunities for academic exchange and cultural interaction for students of both universities.

From UEF, participants included Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Vice President, Prof.Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal - Director of the International Institute, Dr. Ly Dan Thanh - Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Mr. Tran Hoang Nam - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with faculty and staff from the International Institute and the Faculty of Business Administration.
Representing NTCUST were Prof. Tung-Shou Chen - President, Prof. Ching-Wei Cheng - Vice President and Dean of OIA, Prof. Shiah-Lian Chen - Dean Office of Research and Development, Prof. Teng-Yeh Liao - Department Chair of Applied Chinese Language, Prof. Wien Hong - Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Prof. Shih-Yun Hsu - Associate Dean of OIA, Ms. Ya-Sheng Cheng - OIA staff.
UEF and NTCUST formally became strategic partners
By opening the event, representatives of both UEF and NTCUST introduced the highlights of their universities. In particular, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc provided an overview of UEF’s international programs, while emphasizing its educational partnerships with Taiwanese universities over the years. NTCUST’s representatives also shared insights about their academic curriculum and outlined plans for the collaboration, particularly in promoting cultural exchange and practical learning opportunities for students.

During the meeting, both universities engaged in discussion about the student exchange initiatives, particularly a short-term international semester scheduled to begin at the end of March this year. This program is expected to provide UEFers with the opportunity to study in NTCUST’s dynamic learning environment and immerse themselves in Taiwan’s vibrant culture.

The meeting concluded with the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, solidifying the bilateral relationship. This marked a crucial starting point for implementing a wide range of collaborative programs in the future, contributing to enhanced education quality and giving UEFers access to international learning environments.
