Global Partnership: UEF and Lapu-Lapu Cebu International College Exchange Programs

The meeting and exchange session opened up new opportunities for students from both institutes

On behalf of UEF, there were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc - Director, UEF International Institute; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung - Deputy Director, UEF International Institute; Mr. Pham Huy Cuong - Dean, Faculty of English; and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Deputy Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. 

Representing UEF were Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Director of the UEF International Institute; Dr. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Deputy Director of the UEF International Institute; Mr. Pham Huy Cuong, Dean of the Faculty of English; and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures.”On the partners’ side, there were Dr. Grace Jamon - President and Ms. Le Thi Huong - International Business Manager of Lapu Lapu Cebu International College.

LCIC, a university which is located in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, offers various educational programs, specializing in tourism management, foreign languages, and other fields. LCIC is renowned for its high-quality education, preparing students to meet the demands of the global labor market. The university also establishes partnerships with international organizations and companies, offering students valuable internships and opportunities for working abroad.




Representatives from both institutes exchanged information and proposed cooperation

LCIC’s language programs emphasize practical language skills, focusing on students' ability to apply the language both in-class and in real-world contexts, fostering a deeper understanding of diverse cultures. Additionally, LCIC provides a multicultural environment for students from various countries, enriching their learning experiences. These aspects align with UEF’s objectives in pursuing internationalized academic programs.

Based on these similarities, the two institutions discussed opportunities for further cooperation to form a strong bond between students from both institutions. Planned activities included academic exchanges, student and faculty exchange, research cooperation, and other programs.

 

The working session between UEF and LCIC concluded successfully, laying the foundation for deeper exchanges and discussions to foster cooperation, further development, and provide an international learning environment for students from both countries.
