07/02/2024

Lectures from the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures saw the students off on their journey to China.

Embarking on the summer camp were fourth-year student Lam Hung An and third-year student Phan Hoang Thien Kim. They are honorable students majoring in Chinese Language and have always enjoyed cultural exchange and exploration activities. Hung An and Thien Kim were thrilled to receive these scholarships and hope that this journey will provide valuable lessons, equipping them with a wealth of international experiences to prepare for a successful global career.

UEFers checked in at the summer camp in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (China).

The 2024 summer camp’s expenses for catering, transportation, education, and excursions, etc, were all covered by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (China). Not only did the students learn in a relaxed environment and engage in social interactions, but they also consistently demonstrated UEF’s typical proactivity and creativity to their international friends.

The program was designed for students to study in a classroom setting while also experiencing unique cultural features during field trips. The primary goal was to help them gain more knowledge about the country and its people through Jiangxi's traditional culture, contemporary socio-economic developments, and visits to various popular destinations.

UEFers are actively involved in classes and eagerly embrace the program's first-hand experiences.

UEFers took many fascinating classes during the summer camp, such as "Contemporary China: A Comprehensive Overview," "The Chinese Economy and Society," "Traditional Chinese Philosophy and Culture," and "Chinese Characters and Linguistic Culture."

Besides, UEFers also immersed themselves in hands-on activities related to Chinese Kungfu, tea brewing artistry, Chinese decorative knots, and Chinese calligraphy. The program was made even more engaging with excursions to numerous sites, including Wanxiang Park, Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum, Baishui Waterfall, Haihunhou Museum, Wanshou Palace, Tengwang Tower, and Qiushui Square, etc.

"It is believed that during this 10-day journey, UEFers will gain valuable insights into Chinese culture as well as economics, experience an effective language learning environment, and create unforgettable memories with international friends in this populous country."
