Mastering Japanese Language and Skills, 5 UEFers Set to Embark on Global Internship

Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Mr. Cao Do Quyen - Assistant, Japanese Language, were present at the airport to bid farewell and give valuable advice, along with the accompanying students' families, relatives, and friends.


UEF wishes students a successful internship with valuable practical career experience 

 
 

Five students from the Faculty of Japanese Language participated in the internship program: Dang Thi Thanh Van, To Thuy Quynh, Nguyen Hoai Phong, Nguyen Khanh Tuong, and Tran Khanh Ngan. Four of them are from the class of 2020, and one is from the class of 2021. In addition to their fluent Japanese proficiency, they also attended training classes to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to successfully adapt to the Japanese workplace.
 


5 UEFers were ready for a 6-month international internship

Before the paperwork was finalized, Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than shared his sincere encouragement with the students, following in the footsteps of previous batches. He acknowledged the challenges of transitioning from university to the workplace, especially in a foreign country. Dr. Thanh emphasized the importance of being ready to adapt, continuously acquiring knowledge, and improving oneself. He assured the students that by overcoming the initial difficulties, they would open the door to a whole new world of opportunities, leading to stable job prospects in the future.

Moreover, he also reminded the students to make a positive impression on their Japanese partners by emphasizing the importance of strictly adhering to timelines, following business regulations, and consistently communicating in Japanese to further enhance their language skills.

Five UEFers will be working at En Resort Re’Cove Hakone during the internship. Students may take on various roles based on their assignments, such as coordinating restaurant and hotel operations, serving food and assisting in the kitchen, and ensuring the quality and comfort of the guest rooms, among other responsibilities.

With diverse responsibilities requiring a broad range of skills and experiences, students will need to continuously learn and adapt to their new environment. After completing the 6-month internship in Japan, it is expected that they will emerge more courageous, self-assured, and will have grown both professionally and personally.

Hopefully, UEFers will have exciting and valuable experiences during their time in the Land of Cherry Blossoms. By gaining new knowledge and honing their professional skills, this internship is expected to provide a strong foundation for their future career success.
