On 26 February, 2016, Lac Viet Computing Corporation, a Joint Stock IT company, and CMSquared launched project VATSA-Vietnam American Tech Solutions Academy. The event at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, HCMC was attended by about 50 representatives of universities inVietnam.
On behalf of UEF, Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung – UEF Vice President and Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc – Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education were present at the launching and provided some perspectives.
With the combination of expertise in the field of IT and online learning between Lac Viet Corporation and Creative Minds Squared (CMSquared, US), VATSA provide training programs in technology not only to enhance professional and soft skills for IT students but also to help address the shortage of a high-skilled IT workforce in Vietnam in recent years.
In particular, VATSA will focus on web development boot camps – currently the most effective intensive training course in terms of practical use. The programs are designed so that students can commit full-time to practicing and participating in projects in the real working world. After the 12-week course, students will become proficient at programming to database, possessing experience suited to the workplace.
Enrollment into the project is scheduled to begin in May 2016.
