Winter Internship Begins: Six UEFers set to embark on a new journey in Japan

Understanding the immense benefits that international internships provide in today's era of global integration, UEF has consistently expanded these opportunities. This is a chance for students to expose themselves to a professional working environment, enhance their career skills, and improve their language abilities, boosting their confidence as they establish themselves in the global labor market.  On December 16, UEF facilitated the departure of six students to Japan, where they will participate in corporate internships.

On the behalf of UEF, representatives joined families presented at the airport to provide encouragement and advice to students before their journey. Present were: M.A. Nguyen Thai Ha - Deputy Director of the Center of Corporate Partnerships, M.A. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Tien - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, M.A. Nguyen Viet Thuy - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of  Tourism - Hospitality Management, M.A. Vuong Minh Chau - Lecturer of the Faculty of Japanese Language. Alongside the university representatives, families, relatives and friends were also there to support and cheer on the students as they embarked on this new chapter.
The internship program begins with a one-year internship at Atami New Fujiya Hotel, Shizuoka, Japan, for two students from the Japanese Language Department: Luong Ngoc Tu (Class of 2022) and Vu Ngoc Truc Vy (Class of 2020). Meanwhile, four students - Nguyen Duc Toan (Class of 2021, Faculty of Business Administration), Ngo Dinh Bao (Class of 2021, Faculty of Business Administration), Do Bao Tran (Class of 2021, Faculty of  Tourism - Hospitality Management), and Nguyen Dang My Phuong (Class of 2020, Faculty of  Tourism - Hospitality Management) - will undertake a four-month internship at T Hotel Ryuo - Japan.
6 UEFers were ready for international internships
Accordingly, UEFers will undertake various tasks related to their field, such as: ensuring the quality and cleanliness of rooms to maintain a tidy and sanitary environment; keeping common areas organized and tidying up the camping; assisting in food preparation; serving in restaurants, etc.. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to experience local culture closely and deeply, learning how to prepare traditional Japanese dishes. More importantly, it is a chance for cultural exchange and hands - on practice of Japanese with local residents.
Throughout this journey, UEF’s faculty members have provided unwavering support and encouragement for the students. At the airport, teachers reminded the students about necessary items and documents, shared useful information about Japan, and provided advice to help them stay strong and ready for this exciting and valuable internship. With dedicated support from UEF and the achievements students have attained from previous international internships, parents feel reassured and optimistic about the personal and professional growth their children will achieve after this transformative journey.
UEF’s lecturers advice students before starting internship away from home

In a warm and intimate atmosphere before the plane took off, hearleft words of advice and encouragement were given to the six UEFers. Their international internship journey officially began. Each of them carried with them a spirit of eagerness to learn and experience throughout this internship abroad. It is believed that this journey will provide valuable lessons for UEFers. Upon their return, they will be more confident and ready to tackle challenges in the job market, whether locally or internationally.
