UEF and Kanazawa Institute of Technology Discuss AI Application in PD Courses

OCTOBER 24, Center of Project Design Education and Kanazawa Institute of Technology (K.I.T), Japan, held an online meeting to discuss professional matters. The session focused on sharing information and preparation for implementing AI applications in the Project Design (PD) course.

Representing K.I.T were Mr. Kugo Kazunori, Director of the International Program Office, along with faculty members Prof. Ryo Kanai, Mr. Yoshito Nishida, Ms. Hitomi Sakai, and Mr. Kouji Matsuo.

On behalf of UEF, the meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Director of the Center of Project Design Education; Ms. Ha Le Thu Hoai, Deputy Director of the Center of Project Design Education; and lecturers from the Project Design (PD) course.

During the meeting, K.I.T faculty shared details about two PD-related modules incorporating AI, namely AI Application for Beginners and AI Application and Implementation for PD Projects. These modules are expected to be introduced at K.I.T in the near future.

According to K.I.T's curriculum, these modules are designed for first-year students to gradually familiarize themselves with basic AI applications, enabling them to integrate this knowledge into other specialized courses.

In addition, faculty members from both universities exchanged extensive insights on the integration of AI in teaching and learning for the Project Design (PD) course to enhance its quality. This discussion highlighted the programme's proactive approach in embracing AI applications to maximize their benefits for this creative course while also guiding instructors on methods to prevent the misuse of AI in learning and research.

As part of the strategic collaboration between UEF and K.I.T, both institutions will regularly share experiences in teaching PD modules and applying technology in education to gradually improve the learning outcomes of their students.
