OCTOBER 1, UEF welcomed representatives from Monash University, Australia, for a working visit. During this meeting, the two parties discussed opportunities to implement an international transfer program for students.
Representing Monash University was Ms. Thuy Vo - Director Asean. On behalf of UEF, participants included Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President; Prof. Dr. Eric Jose Olmedo Panal, Director of the UEF International Institute; along with staff from the UEF International Institute.
After an introduction to the university’s general information, the two parties discussed the 2+2 transfer program and related issues, including entry requirements for students, tuition fees, visa procedures, curriculum, and core subjects.
Additionally, Monash University proposed a potential collaboration on a 4+0 program, and both parties agreed to continue discussions to explore its implementation in the future.
Monash University, founded in 1958, currently hosts over 85,000 students from 158 countries. Its main campus is located in Melbourne, Australia, with additional campuses worldwide, including in Malaysia, China, India, and Italy. Monash is particularly renowned for its research excellence, making significant contributions in fields such as medicine, technology, science, and sociology. The university leads in research areas like vaccine development, regenerative medicine, nanotechnology, and sustainable management.
With Monash’s strong educational foundation and quality, it is hoped that the discussions held will soon lead to a collaboration, providing UEF students with diverse and effective learning programs.
