UEF Launches Japanese Language Course to Equip Students for Global Internships

Following that, on August 22, the Center of Corporate Partnerships, in collaboration with the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the UEF Center for IT and Foreign Languages, organized the commencement of the 'Japanese for Internship 2' course. Accompanied by specialized lecturers, this course promises to provide a strong foundation for UEFers to gain valuable practical experience in Japan and support their overall career development.

This activity has been implemented with an aim to equip UEFers with skills and knowledge in preparation for their internship in Japan.

At the beginning of the event, Dr. Ngo Minh Hai emphasized the significance of the course for students' development, particularly for those preparing for their overseas journey. He shared with the students: 'To successfully and effectively complete your internship in Japan, you must be proactive in learning and engage actively with the local community. The best way to achieve this is by leveraging their language skills to overcome the barriers of geographical distance, customs, and culture. In the "Japanese for Internship" classes, I hope that you will acquire a broad range of knowledge, skills, and essential vocabulary, fostering personal growth and helping you reach your full potential.'

Dr. Ngo Minh Hai accentuated the importance of learning foreign language and exploring the culture in advance of the internship.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Trinh, representing the partner, also offered sincere words of encouragement to UEFers. He emphasized the growing popularity of the Japan internship program across various faculties and institutes, owing to the numerous benefits it provides to young people. From his perspective, this is a crucial time for students securing internships at renowned Japanese companies to equip themselves with practical skills and knowledge. Strong Japanese language proficiency, coupled with a broad knowledge base and robust networking, will open doors to numerous career opportunities, assisting interns to easily secure official job positions and facilitating a long-term stay in Japan.

Mr. Nguyen Phuong Trinh laid stress on potential job opportunities for students after the internship.

In this second installment of the Japanese class, students will embark on a new journey to explore a miniature Japan through engaging lectures led by experienced Japanese language instructors. With two sessions per week, the course provides a structured learning path, from mastering the Japanese alphabet to expanding vocabulary and practicing both basic and advanced conversational patterns.

In addition, students have the opportunity to explore key cultural aspects of Japanese daily life and workplace etiquette, helping them identify what to avoid during their internships. In the final sessions, UEFers will receive hands-on training in hotel and room service operations, guided by lecturers from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The teaching staff are lecturers with extensive experience in the Japanese Language Department.

As part of the event, certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the Japanese for Internship Course 1. Through insightful lessons delivered by highly qualified lecturers from the Japanese Language Department, students gained a wealth of knowledge, enabling them to adapt smoothly to life in the Land of Cherry Blossoms. Their success in overcoming numerous challenges and completing the course with excellence is expected to inspire the next generation to aim for even greater accomplishments.

The "Japanese for Internship Course 2" concluded its commencement with valuable orientations, fostering insightful discussions between lecturers and students. With hopes of gaining enriching lessons and practical experiences, students are now prepared to excel in their upcoming internships in Japan.
