The results of UEF’s 5-star QS Stars rating for five criteria have demonstrated outstanding improvements, such as enhancing the application of technology in teaching, achieving a high percentage of students working in their trained fields, and fostering a study environment focused on sustainability. The university also offers a variety of policies to support students’ education and well-being, from the moment they join the academic environment until they graduate. Notably, the school’s exceptional governance capabilities are increasingly aligning with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations Organization.

In 2022, UEF scored a total of 579 points in the evaluation, becoming the 6th university in Vietnam to achieve the international QS Stars certification (QS Stars Certificate Award Ceremony) with a 4-star rating. The Master's program in Business Administration has been accredited, and the official survey for quality accreditation of three Master's programs in Finance - Banking, Accounting, and Economic Law has been completed.

UEF achieved a perfect 5-star rating in 5 out of 9 criteria.

In Vietnam, UEF is an internationally oriented university known for its constant innovation and advancements. The university excels in its bilingual and international programs. Beyond providing high-quality educational offerings, UEF is actively expanding and enhancing the international academic exchange environment. Regarding community engagement, the university aims for sustainable development along with social responsibility through hundreds of activities at both local and international levels.

With the new QS Stars version 6.0 standards, QS has not only increased the number of criteria from 8 to 9 compared to the previous version but has also revised and added various criteria within each standard. These changes aim to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and up-to-date evaluation of universities, aligning with the latest trends in higher education development.

In the new QS Stars version 6.0 standards, QS has updated several criteria to align with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This update aims to support internationally oriented universities while preparing a skilled workforce capable of addressing community and societal challenges. QS has introduced a new standard, Good Governance, which evaluates the institution’s development strategy, risk management practices, faculty and staff satisfaction, quality assurance measures, and adherence to UN SDGs, including transparency and gender balance.

For the existing standards, QS has updated various aspects to align with current trends in international higher education. Specifically, QS has replaced the previous Inclusive Development standard with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This new standard evaluates whether a university provides a fair learning environment, supports individual development, respects differences, and upholds freedom of expression. Additionally, the Internationalisation standard has been replaced by Global Engagement. The term ‘Global Engagement’ has been widely adopted by universities in recent years to better reflect diverse internationalization activities and their broader implementation.
