FEBRUARY 17 - 19, during the working visit to South Korea, UEF’s leadership delegation held discussions with Mokpo National University (MNU) and officially signed an MOU for collaboration. This new partnership will pave the way for high-quality international programs for students.
The UEF delegation of leaders in South Korea included Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President, Mr. Bui Quang Dong - Head of Department of Student Services, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Deputy Chief of University Office, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Dean of the Languages and International Cultures, Ms. Nguyen Thai Ha - Deputy Director of the Center of Corporate Partnerships. Representing Mokpo National University (MNU), Dr. Song Ha Cheol, University President, welcomed and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting before the MOU signing ceremony, the two universities discussed potential areas of collaboration, including exchanging students of Korean Language and Economics lasting from 6 months to one year; establishing the internship program for students from both universities; short-term exchange program; and so on. Particularly in the field of tourism, MNU proposed cooperation in training and startup projects related to carbon reduction, one of its key areas of expertise.

After finalizing the collaboration details, representatives from both universities officially signed the MOU. MNU also proposed signing an MOA in the near future to implement specific joint programs and expand cooperation to the business and management fields.

During the visit, the UEF delegation also had the opportunity to tour MNU’s campus and explore several locations in South Korea. Founded in 1946, MNU ranks among the top 40 public universities in South Korea. In 2020, the university was selected for multiple government-funded projects and recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology for its active participation in various research initiatives.
With this partnership, high-quality programs for students from both universities are expected to be implemented soon, providing meaningful international learning experiences and cultural exchange opportunities.
