APRIL 24 - UEF held an online meeting and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (China). This marked another step forward in the UEF’s journey toward the internationalization of education, opening up numerous opportunities for UEFers and faculty members to study, engage in academic exchange, and conduct joint research.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of UEF were Mr. Do Quoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President, along with leaderships from various faculties and institutes, including: Dr. Ha Thi Thuy, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting; Dr. Nguyen Kim Thoa, Deputy Director of the International Institute; Dr. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Marketing; Ms. Nguyen Vuong Hoai Thao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, as well as lecturers and students from the Chinese Language major.
Representing Guangdong University of Foreign Studies were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Lam Han, Vice President; Dr. Tri Thanh Nu, Director of the Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures, Dr. Khuong Nguyen Tung, Director of the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation, along with other staff members.
The meeting began with both universities introducing their institutions, academic programs, international education models, and outstanding strengths in academic development and high-quality human resource training. With many similarities in educational orientations and foundations for international cooperation, the two sides found common ground in promoting joint activities to enhance the quality of education, research, and cultural and academic exchange between their students and faculty members.

On behalf of UEF, Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc presented the key contents of the MOU, which focused on student exchange and internships, faculty and academic expert exchanges, joint organization of international conferences and forums, co-publication of research materials, and the development of interdisciplinary teaching projects. In addition, both universities agreed to implement management procedures for exchange students to ensure efficiency and consistency throughout the partnership.

The two parties officially signed the MOU, establishing a bilateral collaborative relationship. This event is considered a highlight in UEF’s strategy to expand its international collaboration network, particularly in the fields of language, culture, commerce, finance, and global economics.
