OCTOBER 11, UEF held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shandong Normal University in China. This marks an important milestone in UEF’s efforts to expand international cooperation, while also reaffirming the university's strategic vision to internationalize its educational and research activities.
Representing UEF at the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Thanh Giang, President ; Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice President; Dr. Do Huu Nguyen Loc, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Hong Ha, Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications; Dr. Nguyen Ha Giang, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Head of the Chinese Language Department; Dr. Tang My Sang, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting; M.A. Vu Anh Sao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law; Mr. Tran Hoang Nam, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; and M.A. Huynh Tu Anh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Marketing.
From Shandong Normal University, participants included Prof. Dr. Zhang Jian, University President; Dr. Zhu Lian Dung, Director of the Institute of International Exchange and Cooperation; Mr. Xiang Xin, University Office Chief; Dr. Wang Cheng Tan, Director of the Institute of Geography and Environment; Dr. Zhao Wei, Party Secretary of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Materials Science; and Dr. Chang Qing, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Media.
Representing Shandong Normal University, Prof. Dr. Zhang Jian expressed his honor at this collaborative relationship. He affirmed that the partnership with UEF would facilitate knowledge and experience exchange between the two institutions, while also creating opportunities for students to benefit from a high-quality, comprehensive international educational environment.
The MOU outlined seven main areas of collaboration, including student exchange; faculty exchange; organizing international internship programs for students; sharing information and publishing scientific works; jointly developing teaching projects and research activities; jointly managing students participating in exchange activities between the two universities; and organizing academic conferences and scientific forums. These key areas form a solid foundation for collaboration and expand international exchange opportunities for both institutions.
This event marked a significant step forward for UEF in expanding global educational partnerships, particularly with Chinese institutions. Aiming to provide students with international learning and exchange opportunities, UEF is increasingly solidifying its position on the regional and global educational map. The signing ceremony not only offers students a chance to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture and history but also facilitates opportunities for exchange, learning, and joint research between faculty members from both universities.
