JANUARY 10 - Cultural exchange serves as a bridge that connects young people, inspiring curiosity and fostering the traditional values of nations around the world. The International Exchange Friends (IEF) Club of UEF International Institute hosted a Cultural Exchange Session with students from 10 Korean universities. This event offered a unique opportunity for students to share cultural stories, meet new friends, and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere of international friendship.
YMCA is the first international delegation to visit UEF in 2025
The event was attended by Prof.Dr. Eric Panal Jose Olmedo - Director of the International Institute; Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Ms. Phan Ly Nguyen Trinh - Head of the International Institute Division.
Representing YMCA were Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Thuy - Representative of YMCA Association; Project Manager; Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Nhi - Representative of YMCA và Ms. Yang Daeun - Representative of National Council of YMCA of Korea.
By opening the event, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh extended heartfelt wishes to the international guests and expressed her hope that they would have an enriching experience at UEF. The YMCA students were equally excited to explore the unique traditional values of Vietnam.

During the event, the international students embarked on a journey to discover Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage through stories about the country’s diverse regional cuisine, traditional attire like the ao dai and ao ba ba, and the beautiful customs of the Lunar New Year. A highlight of the session was the activity of decorating lucky money envelopes, which created unforgettable moments and fostered bonds between participants despite language and cultural differences.
