JUNE 20—Embodying that spirit, UEF organized a Vietnamese - Japanese languages and cultural exchange program, “Skills for Global Success." This event allowed UEFers to discuss and articulate their thoughts about global issues and form close friendships with overseas students.
On behalf of UEF, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri - Vice President of the School; Dr. Vo Van Thanh Nhan, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Mr. Cao Do Quyen - Program Assistant in Japanese Language; and Leaders from other faculties gave a warm welcomes to 75 delegates from Zushi Kaisei High School in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The international guest group was led by Mr. Misu Hiroyuki - Vice President of Zushi Kaisei High School, and lecturers.
During the session, Dr. Nhan Cam Tri delivered a welcoming address, introducing UEF's programs and achievements in foreign collaboration activities. He emphasized his delight at the delegation's decision to visit UEF to learn about Vietnamese culture and expressed his wish for stronger future ties between the two parties.

At the program, representatives of UEFers shared enlightening data about the prosperity and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh City with Japanese students. These facts included the city’s history, geography, population, culture, cuisine, and famous tourist attractions. Simultaneously, UEFers also presented the dynamic learning environment and diverse activities at school to the students.

Accompanying the students were Ms. Nguyen Ho Tieu Anh, CEO of Ngon va Lanh Food Company, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao Quynh - founder of An Liam Coffee Journey, both experienced specialists in Vietnamese cuisine. This event helped UEF and Japanese students learn how to make and savor coffee and enjoy mung bean cakes in the Vietnamese style. At the end of the program, students from both countries had free time to socialize and make friends and exchange cultural features with each other.
The culinary space tightened the connection between students from the two countries.
Within a day of bonding, UEFers and the Japanese students' delegation shared many stories and expressed their opinions about essential skills, which are the foundation of their success from a global perspective. Through exchange activities and discussions, students learned more about the cultural features, similarities, and differences between Vietnam and Japan. As a result, the series of activities that help enhance the international experiences at UEF have become more diverse and profound.
